Sometimes an image can take on a whole new feel in Black and White and this is one of them. So many patterns and lines in this shot of one of the several domes in the U.S. Capitol.
A humbling walk over to the Vietnam Memorial. I met so many great folks that morning and I hope to share this with them. A very, very special place.
I walked back behind the Lincoln Memorial and as I turned the corner I saw this shot. A little different but a neat view and strong leading line out through the image.
One of my favorites. A early morning shot of the White House with the side light and long shadows.
Timeless......... it was really crowded and I had to use my tripod in a reduced width, so I opted for this angle and cropped out all the people in front of me. I want to go back and do a night shot.
These are the recently restored statues of three soliders that are looking across the grounds toward The Wall with the names of their fallen brothers. I tried to create a painting feel to the background from the original as the original detracted from the statues.
A zoomed in close up of the U.S. Capitol Dome. There is so much detail and it makes me want to do some research on the artist and history behind it.
A different side view of the U.S. Capitol highlighted by the Red Crape Myrtle and nice green grass.
Our Unitied States Supreme Court Building with a great sky to add some additional drama to the scene. Not that the High Court needs any more drama.
